Tinctures

Tincture dosages are a great way to self-titrate, or measure. For first time users, start with 1mL of tincture sublingually, under the tongue. Wait up to 30-60 minutes for the effects to take hold. If the results are satisfying, then proceed with this regiment. Otherwise, try 2mL the next day and so on until discovering a satisfactory volume of dosage.

Compared to traditional cannabis edibles like brownies or Shatter Bars, tinctures offer a low calories alternative. Our tinctures are about 7 calories per mL – whereas a typical brownie contains 132 calories.

Tinctures can also be used as an ingredient in all food and beverage recipes like:

  • Juice
  • Ice cream and sherberts
  • Soups
  • Gelatin
  • Savoury dishes
  • Salad dressing
  • and more…

Our high dosage tinctures are ideal when being used as an ingredient for foods and drinks, since the higher concentration of medical product can offer convenient mixing.

How Do I Consume Tincture?

A tincture is essentially a liquid form of cannabis that comes in a dropper bottle. Unscrew the child-safety cap, then fill the pipette with the appropriate amount of liquid for your dose by squeezing the black bulb while the glass pipette is submerged in the tincture bottle. Place the dropper assembly (bulb plus attached pipette) near your mouth and squeeze the bulb to release the liquid under your tongue. We generally recommend patients hold the liquid under their tongue for approximately 3 seconds to partially absorb through their mucosal membrane, then swallow. Absorbing through the mucosal membrane allows for faster absorption and also bypasses some of the liver during digestion. Swallowing allows for some tincture to hit the receptors in your mouth, throat, esophagus all the way down that the absorbed liquid missed.
